The Hujra show has invited Mr. Mashkoor, the young Afghan poet and writer of the Pashto language in Afghanistan. His interview is part of the series of Afghan poet an writers introduction in Hujra show called “Gulban”.
Mr. Badshah-ul-din Mashkor is the son of Faz-ul-Din, he was born in 1362 (Hijiri Shamsi) in South East Afghanistan, Khost province. Currently he is residing in Qara Bagh district of Kabul province. Due to the civil war and conflicts in the country he migrated to Pakistan and lived on the other side of Afghan-Pak border known as Qabaili area “Tribal Area”- North West Frontier.
He lived most of his childhood as a refugee and completed his primary education in Pakistan. After the new Afghan government he moved back to Afghanistan and continued his remaining education, finally graduated from Ustad Sedqi Rohi high school from Khost province.
Mr.Mashkoor was interested in writing, reading and reciting poems since his childhood and this deep love and interest for Pashto language made him a strong poet and man of words. In a very short time he manage to publish his first collection of poems under the name of “Guluna pa lambo ki” and were favored by most of the readers. His activities in Pashto language not ends here, he also writes short stories for magazines, newspapers and online sources, and as well working as a journalist with many media organizations in Afghanistan. |
