Afghan Voice Radio is completely run by volunteers, some are very skilled and talented, but you do not have to be a professional radio maker to get involved or develop your own show. We can help and guide you. You are welcome in the studio, but it is not necessary to be even located in Britain to do your show with Afghan Voice Radio.

We will get back to you within hours of your form submission, please make sure the contact details are entered correctly. Please remember this is only for those who wants to work as volunteer with us, this section is not for employment and job vacancy within our organisation.
Our volunteer team members have experienced a friendly and professional learning environment, members of our volunteer team is a mix of Afghans and non Afghans from different backgrounds and walks of life, the variety of our team members makes it different than any other organisation you have already volunteered. If you want to join our team, you will get the best chances to learn, build confidence and also share your experience and skills with the rest of team members.
Ariadne Bechthold

Founder, director, radio manager, and daily organisation management of Afghan Voice CIC. Ariadne studied media and is a freelance filmmaker, trainer, script writer and knowledgeable in dramaturgy. She is learning the Pashto and Dari languages.

Elham Fakhri

A recent graduate from UCL and passionate about medical research. His show Inside Health aims to provide general information on common disease, first aid tips and advice, healthy lifestyle and wellbeing advice and finally, provide up-to-date medical research news from reliable sources. He was involved for four years with Finnish Red Cross as an event first aider and a year with St John ambulance.


Initiator, founder, director and the creative brains of AV company and radio. Former student of Political Science and IR and currently specialising in Journalism, visual media, films, and photography in London. He has a broad experience with community radio broadcasting, public broadcasting and have done many case studies for institutes in England. He is a trustee of Refugee Radio in Brighton and been former advisor to the GOA.

Nazila Sherzay

Currently a second year university student, she is the producer and presenter of the Global Talk programme. The show aims to introduce Afghan professionals and inspirational figures from various fields to give an insight into their area of work. Interesting news and events will also be talked about on the show. The programme is presented in Pashto, Dari and English.

Omid Azizi

Co-host with Insight weekly talk show - also indepdent analyist and writer on different sectors related to Afghanistan. Graduated from Economics faculty and has long years of working  experience with International organisations in Afghanistan in Finance section.

Sabour Bradley

The host and presenter of the Sabour Bradley's Big World Show. Every week join him with his new interesting guests around the world. He is also a world class documentary maker for international TV networks. He has been to Afghanistan and worked with variety of Afghan media groups, such as Moby.

Safya Popalzai

Worked with national and international organisations in Afghanistan. She has experience in administration and management and she is one of the directors of AV CIC. In the UK she has been active with community organisations within the Afghan Community and Refugee Council. She is also studying business management in London.

Wahida Tahmasi

The presenter and producer of Women's World show. A show that brings you the latest news on women around the world with a main focus on Afghan women. She is also a student of media and journalism, and in her third year BA Broadcasting. She is working as a freelancer with different media organisations, among broadcast assistant with BBC Dari.


Presenter and producer of Frontline show and currently by professional a well experienced paralegal with a law firm in England. He is also one of the former co-founders of the Afghan student organisation and fully committed individual of the Afghan community in London.

Wida Tausif

A young aspiring poet and author. Has contributed articles and interviews of Bollywood, Hollywood and Afghan celebrities to a variety of magazines, which included The Indian Sun and Hello Bollywood and LipMag. In 2010 participated in the "National Poetry Day" in New Zealand, where her poem "My Sweet Afghanistan" was selected amongst hundreds of young poets and in 2013 her poem "Peace" was featured in World Poetry E- Anthology.  She is also publishing her first children’s book in the near future.


Presenter and producer of Insight show. A computer software engineer graduate and also working with a London based company. He is also leading a multimedia company in London for international clients. He has been working with Afghan community regardin different issues, from immigration to social projects.
